What's nice about these Leatherette Models is that they don't advertise the fact that they are actually pepper sprays. Since the element of surprise should be a big factor on your side, having a low profile device on your key ring definitely helps in that respect. The pepper spray formula in the unit is made with a very fine grain that is easier to absorb than the coarser grains of most other pepper sprays.

Pepper Shot causes immediate pain as it swells the mucous membranes, making it hard to breathe, and it swells the veins in the eyes, causing the eyes to close. Effects vary, but can last up to 45 minutes and of course cause no permanent damage. All models have a built in locking actuator.
