The WildFire 2 ounce Pepper Spray unit disperses its contents in a wide pattern (as opposed to the narrow spray pattern of stream pepper spray).
There are several advantages to a spray pattern versus a stream pattern:
- Wider coverage
- More discharged droplets cover the general area of the attacker
- Less accurate aim required
The one disadvantage to a spray pattern is that the finer spray is more susceptible to wind, which means you can miss the attacker entirely or you may get some blowback to yourself.
